I think, with everything that was brought up with Saracens, we are now starting to see the ways in how clubs attract players.

Training, education, etc, is specifically allowed to be done by the cap rules. Most (if not all) clubs offer to fund students through university, for example. I believe Itoje is either doing that right now, or did.

In my view, this is a perfectly reasonable thing to allow.

I agree and can see how my initial comment appears like I am accusing Bristol of doing something untoward. My point really was that these things are now a bit more well known that previously.

Very different from "other commercial partnership arrangements"!

I think that anything that helps prepare players for life post rugby is a good thing - its hard enough being made redundant from an "ordinary" job when you have qualifications etc, but having been potentially in a bit of a cocoon in pro sports, it can be very hard to move on

The lucky ones get media roles - but they are quite rare!
