The outcome will be interesting indeed. It'll show whether the hearing is an intention to try and "rehabilitate" him, and let him return, or just another chance to tell him off before standing by their initial ruling of sacking him.

I assumed that's what the ARU were checking during the pause between "We'll probably sack him" and actually sacking him. Would be strange to have the delay to think about it but not actually check the legals. Although, rugby unions aren't always the most on the ball...
