Is that a trainee scrum half sitting next to Hampson? He might need to lose some weight.

So talking of rumours, what's currently circulating....?

** Kurtley Beale returning after the RWC - Would make sense given his age, might retire from international rugby and head north for his pension?
** Leyds reported in SA as joining Wasps - Is he waiting for the RWC squad announcement to confirm if he's leaving or not?
** A Non-EQP winger due to be announced this week - Would this be Leyds?
** No names linked to second row other than the championship player at London Scottish - Surely there will be a more established player coming in too, or will faith be put in Garrett and Cardell?

Back in the day when Dai had to put his faith in Daly, Launchbury, Wade etc he did and it formed the ethos for the club for the next few years during the move to the Ricoh.  I would say he is in the same position as he was then (albeit for different reasons). Lol said that the club needs to become a rugby club again. I would say showing faith in the academy guys coming through is a big part of that, so I wouldn't be surprised to see a number of them breaking into the first team match day squads next season.

Interesting when you look back at past rumours

From The Telegraph 28/04/2017

Dai Young has insisted Wasps will not be signing a big-name international star to replace Beale for next season.

The Premiership leaders have been linked with All Blacks centre Malaki Fekitoa and Springbok midfielder Juan de Jongh, but The Coventry Telegraph reports that the cost of signing either international is likely to be too high to be accommodated within the £7.6 million salary cap.

"As a club, we've made a decision that we wont be looking for a marquee signing next season," said Young

Can we start the Julian Savea rumour again as a non EQ winger who would divide opinion?

Apart from the likes of Ashton, strettle, Solamona, and Folau I can’t think of many in the back three who would really divide opinion anymore than a normal Dai signing.

The Newcastle pair aren’t getting any younger, always have a few injuries and don’t score as many tries as you’d think, although that might be down to Newcastle’s back play this season.
Other wingers down the league that are off are Bryce Heem but rumoured to be off to Toulon if it hasn’t been announced already.
Various journey men or academy blocker players like alofa, pisi and Tuitavake.
That Leiua chap is doing a pretty good job at Bristol these days as a side note!

You can see why Goneva/Sinoti fit the "divide opinion" box.

I don't think Heem would divide much opinion, he's just good isn't he?
