England's defence looked shockingly bad yesterday. A man advantage for 78 mins they easily racked up the points, but anytime Australia managed to get the ball they seemed able to break tackles at will. The Aussies were very good at holding England's runners up in the tackle too. Shame for the Irish, if England had denied the Aussies their 4th try and managed to rack up just 2 more of their own (if my maths is right) the Irish would have gone through instead.

Glad the Saffas managed to score that late penalty though. The Baby Blacks didn't deserve to go through playing as badly they did.

Tbh the tackling in all teams has been fairly woefull. I can see why Dai may be reluctant to use young players sometimes. They may look really good with the ball and people think they should be given a chance but if they are fragile in defence it doesn't help the team or their confidence.
