I suspect Robson/Jones are following medical advice hence the addition of Heinz who has been a training 9 in previous summers for England.

Seeing as Care has been jettisoned (for whatever reason) the three 9's I'd pick are Youngs (not that I think he offers anything different to Care), Spencer and Dobby, so Heinz might be filling in whilst the medical team make a decision.

It might be something as simple as the long haul flight that Robson would have to contend with that might be worrying the medical team.

I think Eng are due to train at altitude in Italy. I think that will give a clearer picture of what the final squad will be.

Agreed. Also thought it might be long flight related. We need Wasps to say he is in full match training to be sure he is over the medical hurdles - which somehow I dont think he is.

What baffles me is if Jones still thinks Robson could make it (and I hope he can) why not have him and Heinz at the training camp? What harm could it do. Even if Robson is not allowed contact having him in and around the squad would still help in terms of drills etc.
