Jimmy Gopperth-Wasps High Flyer?
« on: July 19, 2019, 10:03:22 AM »
Actually he's doing the Ricoh zip wire (135m) across the Ricoh tomorrow for Myton hospice.  I believe his slot is around 11.30 if anyone wants to support a fantastic local hospice charity.  You can join in as well for £20 to participate and pledge raising £200 sponsorship over the next month.  Well done Jimmy Gopperth I hope a few of your teammates dug deep to support you.

This is also a great way to raise money for charity - particularly if you live in or near Mickleton  :)

Well done Jimmy and a slow descent Sting (on Wasps Twitty).

Pitch doesn't look too good at the moment. Hopefully some rain and sun will pick the grass up a bit.
Let me tell you something cucumber

I completed my zip wire challenge, in memory of my Dad.

Someone mentioned the state of the pitch, I can tell you it was auful, just mud in places.
I've no idea how long it takes to recover, but I'm sure they know what they are doing and I'm sure it'll look perfect by September.

It's improved since the mud was dumped there a few weeks back for Monster Jam...for those that didn't see the state of the pitch...

Under that mud were boards, as were also laid for the concerts. But it can't have done the pitch any good. Seeds plus water and sunshine. No need to prep early this year, with no CCFC kicking off in a few weeks time.

A few weeks of showers and sun in Aug and I'm sure the pitch will come back to life.

I wonder if the groundsmen are taking a different approach to pitch mainteannce now that CCFC won't be using the pitch. Perhaps letting the grass grow a couple of inches more?
