Good luck Chesty. You really deserve an injury free run of games.

I didn't realise that Chesty had a hernia operation. From my experience you're back to walking after a day or 2 but training might be out of the question for another 3  - 4 weeks but its not something that you'd be wary of after that (as long as the surgeon sewed the mesh in tightly).

I don't think it's been specifically mentioned before.

I'm guessing I've missed something, but where is Smashley?

Was part of the sub subs warming up on sunday, just not selected in the 23 at the moment I think.

He was running round the pitch in kit pre-game on Sunday, so I am guessing he was fit and a reserve in case of last minute changes. Just not currently making it in to the 23.

As a hooker, I think, at best he is our #4 choice. As flanker? Also at least #4 choice. But, if they were all fit (like YY), then maybe down to #5 choice.

I don't disagree, but as someone who can reliably get over the gainline he is probably number 2 or 3 in the entire squad.

Ash brings something on the pitch and I think he is missed, def from a leadership POV. Given Taylors history of last minute pull outs I wouldn't mind seeing him in the 23..maybe unfair on Ogre who has looked decent.

I wish he'd have been on the pitch last week when Robson made the awful decision to take the 3..I feel Ash would have made the only logical call.

I agree here. Ashley is just not as high on the hooker and flanker ratings compared to his teammates. I'd only consider him at hooker. We have too much depth at flanker this season for him to get close. He's 3rd/4th best hooker at best.

He's a leader, yes, but you also need to be better than alternatives. See Dylan Hartley for example.

Great news that Gopperth is involved in training again. That would be a huge lift. Regards Johnson I think he's behind JW, BS and TY but he does tend to make an impact! One player I've heard nothing about is Morris??
