Given the precedent set by Sale, not a surprise.

Yes. We'd have looked mean and nasty if we didn't let him go. Mind you jet lag shouldn't be a problem. He'll probably have to come straight back, more or less as soon as he gets there.

A campaign was started by his club team-mate Lima Sopoaga to get 2,000 retweets for his post that included the hashtag #Watsontoworldcup - it gained nearly 2,100 in two days.

And most of those were Bath fans >:(

I think the entire Bath senior quad should be out there to support Underhill, time for another campaign?

Great for Watson (s). On balance I think it's the right thing though I have to confess there's about 5 per cent of me saying "don't go"!

Do all of these EQP going to Japan disqualify England?

No - the ruling is that they can't engage with the squad at their hotel/facilities or training. I'm not sure if that also applies to meeting up with someone (i.e. your brother) for a coffee. Seems a bit harsh if the latter also applies though.

It doesn't mean EQP (well the same rule applies to all the squads in the WC) can't visit the tournament or watch games at the stadiums
