Mark - ADoW - A Destruction of Wasps
« on: November 12, 2019, 04:25:26 PM »
No one else has raised this here, so I will. For those of us who knew Mark, either on this or the 'other' forum, or, like me, meeting up at games and other Wasps events (like the open training sessions), you will know he had been diagnosed with terminal cancer in late spring of 2018. After many sessions of aggressive chemo, which may well have extended his time with his family, he sadly passed away a few weeks ago.

I had been in touch with him up until summer, but he then went off grid. He had been receiving care at a hospice and he knew time was short. It was Tom (kentwasp1) who let me know, so thank you for that Tom, as I had hit a brick wall trying to find out.

He was a good friend and avid Wasps supporter and will be much missed. My heart goes out to his young family (he did recently marry his long term partner).

RIP Mark.

I didn't know Mark personally but I certainly knew of him on the Sportsnetwork forum. Very sad news - may he rest in peace.

I only knew ADOW from these forums and recall the time when he wrote about his diagnosis. It is so sad and my thoughts are with his family. He is and will be missed.

That is extremely sad news. Thank you for taking the time to let us all know. He was a decent guy, and a valued member of the wasps supporters family.

RIP Mark, you'll be missed by many.

I met Mark.. sat next to him at a 7's tournament.. he was very astute.. he noticed everything but listened.. made a lot of noise by being silent.

I exchanged a number of PMs with Mark, following his prognosis. A nice guy who will be sadly missed.

Now at peaceful rest.

RIP Mark

I was thinking of him the other day, and meant to contact Tom.

RiP Mark.
