Nelly will be happy about Jacob! So am I!

That many injuries would have crippled us in previous seasons, the rotation means we bring in a decent looking team. Also worried when I read the sentence about Big Mac, tried reading a couple of times in the hope it didn't mean he was concussed as well. Has Booj played for us at 13 before, or is this new?

Happy? Yes.

Has Booj played 13? I don't think so.

I thought he was a 13 at Bedford. Could be wrong but thought so.
Let me tell you something cucumber

Quite likely, but not us, which was what was asked. Should be interesting.

And whither Bassett?
Indeed. Something odd there. No metion in the injury list. Not even in the 23 for the A team.

I dunno. It may not be that odd really.

How do Exeter usually beat us?
They go through the middle with numerous phases and secure the breakdown with power.... And they sometimes kick for the corner and maul over for a try.

Against that kind of game plan, does it help much having a winger who is a bit bigger and maybe a little more defensively sound?

Or... Do we play our 2 wingers who have shown this season that they can score from nowhere?

When you add into the mix that there's been some comments regarding Bassett's form this season, it seems like a simple selection decision

I'm pretty sure that Booj was mainly 12 at Bedford (wasn't he player of the season in the Championship) and Ross Neale was a 13 at London Scottish

I don't think Booj has ever played 13 for Wasps.. maybe he'll have a stormer and jump ahead of JdJ and Fekitoa and become 1st choice  ;D

Personally I'd have started Sopoaga over Umaga but I am refreshed that this squad contains Willis J, Willis T, Owlett (not ours but essentially youth), Umaga, Cardall, Spink and Rowlands. We're moving the emphasis of the squad towards growing our own in a measured and sensible manner.

Quins' injury list is also fairly savage

It's not a good game for Umagato show off in, but it's a great game to a. Give him the chance b. Reward his form and c. Show everyone that even marquee all blacks have to earn their spot.

Spink must play a part in this game. He will give serious go-forward.

Booj seems a really smart player, strong carrier and decent distributor. Maybe the plan of having him and Jimmy in the centres will allow them to kick into the right areas and then distribute to the back 3 when we’re in the right areas.
