So Jack: Apart from saying the coaches must go, how do you think we proceed? Very easy to make a sharp & short statement. But what else do you have to offer?

Out of Europe in the bottom cup after only 4 games, that’s impressive.

It’s going to be a very unpleasant season, I believe that as we have no 13 or wingers of any note, that is what will see us go down this season.

We have brought in too many poor players plus a shocking coaching set up.

I really don’t know when we will win again, maybe Agen away but I’m not confident
Yes Westy we know, recruited average players, good players gone, crap wingers..we get it,its the same message as the last, and the one before that. Your CTRL V button must be worn out.
Any positives for a change? I'll take an alternate negative if you have one.

Why would he have the answer, he is only pointing out a fact that Dai doesn’t know what he is doing and can’t get out of it

It’s been a long time coming and definitely not an over reaction. To do nothing just doesn’t seem to be an option

Sorry you get feed up with me pointing out the bleeding obvious, but someone shouldn’t be paid do highly and get simple basic so badly wrong.

No can’t add any positive Because there aren’t any, hopefully no one got injured that’s the only positive I can come up with

A few positives today, YY, Porter and Minozzi. Many negatives though, another loss, lack of direction, too many easy penalties given away, poor set piece, little inspiration from the senior players and coaching team. The list goes on. Derek must surely now be considering changing the coaching setup, otherwise his dream of becoming the best club in Europe will be over when we're relegated come the end of the season and his investment will be down the toilet.

Can’t say we don’t have a 13 or any wingers. Fekitoa is one of the best in the world but is feeding off scraps. In Minozzi, Watson or kibirige we have finishers and even though Bassett has not had the best form of late he sounds like he had a good game today.
The problem for me is before it gets to 13, we don’t seem to be playing off 9 at all anymore. Lima and Gopperth seem to be playing the same style, there are no out the back moves or switches to find space in the 13/15 channel. Lima is not putting bigger guys through holes enough to create space for the faster guys in the next phases.
For me we should just play Umaga now and see what happens, we can’t get any worse can we?! At least he will provide some attacking threat.
Gopperth at 12 or even Fekitoa to provide some bosh and I’d be tempted to put spink in at 13 whenever we can

I find it incredibly sad how far we've fallen.

This lays at one man's door, his recruitment over the past 24 months, both in terms of playing staff and coaching staff, has been dreadful.

We seem to have no direction, no structure and no plan.

There is alot of talk about how decent a man he is. If this is really true he needs to arrange with Derek how he moves on, this needs to be done in a manner which gives Wasps the best chance of moving forward. This may not result in him leaving the club immediately however I can't see how he can be in charge next year. Odds are we will be in the championship, I imagine Borthwick will whip Leicester into shape, we at least need to be well placed to rebuild properly.

Make no bones about it that was a bang average Edinburgh team today, unfrotunately that's all you need to be to beat us nowadays.

First thing to do would be to spend up to the cap, looking at the second row in particular. Maybe it is too late. Maybe nobody will come up. And yes, I don't know our finances as with all posts, take that as given. All my comments are from the outside.

We then need to sort out a captain - it seems to be a merry go round, I don't think we have had this right for a while.

Then we need to sort out our first choice ten- and I will give you a clue- he was not out there today. I don't want to add to the negativity and discuss this further, but we are at the point of clutching at straws week on week. I know people were on his back from the off, but he has been dropped a couple of times on merit. I must admit last week I thought we might be turning a corner but today.. just nothing fired. The whole of the backs are not clicking, don't get me wrong, I am not blaming anyone, but if everyone gets fit I would like Jacob given the shirt for a run. Different style tens is sometimes an issue for teams, and the lower in the table and the lower the confidence the harder it gets to swap between two.

Basically nothing between the teams apart from some interesting reffing. Positives were Cardall and Matthews and the back row as a whole. Thought Bassett looked good too. Fekitoa did some decent things but never gets the ball in promising positions and missed one awful tackle. Negatives were our abject lack of penetration in attack. Quite telling that our try came from play from the outstanding Young and Carr. Other than that we just passed it side to side. Sopoaga was forced to run into traffic time after time as there was no other option. Not disastrous but losing is becoming a worrying habit. Caveat : Edinburgh were, by and large an international 23.

Caveat : Edinburgh were, by and large an international 23.

I'm stealing this post from an Edinburgh supporter on the other forum;

"15. Damien Hoyland (69) - He is a third choice wing tried at full back before. Never kicks so is easy to defend against.

14. Darcy Graham (25) - First choice, second game after injury
13. James Johnstone (44) - Current second choice to Bennett but served well last year.
12. George Taylor (13) - Third choice but first two are injured.
11. Jamie Farndale (6) - No idea why he is still around. Went to the 7s and came back. Fourth choice

10. Simon Hickey (26) - Usually second choice but very close to van der Walt
9. Nic Groom (5) CAPTAIN - Solid second choice

1. Rory Sutherland (78) - Third choice, coming back from injury
2. Michael Willemse (9) - Second choice but very good
3. WP Nel (134) - Clear first choice but coming back from injury

4. Sam Thomson (5) - Third choice, but second choice injured
5. Lewis Carmichael (38) - Second choice but dynamic young player on the up.

6. Jamie Ritchie (65) - First choice
7. Hamish Watson (102) - First choice
8. Viliame Mata (64) - First choice

As an Edinburgh supporter I am perplexed by this. Cockerill has made it clear that the league is a priority. Nonetheless he could have put out a stronger side while still resting a few players"

I didn't see the game so I am not commenting on the game.

Seen some comments on Fekitoa, again, I have not seen the game but it is worth remembering that his time at Toulon wasn't considered a resounding success. I hope he isn't another all black that struggles to transition to the north.

World class he is not, for several years now

They fail to mention the international tight five + Bennett that came on whilst we had Alo, West, Oghre, Vukasinovic, Morris and Wolstenholme.
