JTA is the intriguing one for me. Presumably we're trying to get him some scrum time but it's a real indicator as to how we rate him that he's in the A team. Makes me wonder how much research went into his signing. It's ok whilst Brookes & Owlett are fit but we'll be relying on JTA if either are injured.

I see it as gametime, getting used to tings as much as anything. Opinion is split but I thought he has done some decent stuff in patches, just needs to settle down a bit

Not seen the Sale team but after last weeks performance we could be in for a long evening.

Searle not used this week which is interesting.
Bassett can’t be happy either but needs to show more.
Just shows how these retirements etc hurt us, Rieder, Garrett, Neal should be playing in these games to support the youngsters coming through but with all these injuries as well our squad does look weaker all of a sudden

I'm confused as to how Bassett isn't playing instead of Kibirige. Kibirige probably edges things in attack but is very very average defensively and costs us tries.

Shugs, I agree somewhat. Bassett isn't great in attack in recent form... Depends which ability we're willing to compromise

Tight game but the squad dug deep for the win.

Wolstenholme, Miller, JTA showed their experience. Some of the youngsters showed up well.

Nice to see Derek and a large number of first teamers eg Brad Shields, Zak, Tom Willis, Biyi, Juan, Tim Cardall there.

Well done fellas.

A really positive display and as mentioned above a good squad turnout as well. A decent mix of grunt and guile. Wolstenholme looks a good prospect. Nice to see Bassett get over the whitewash and we have some very exciting academy prospects.
