O/T So what did we all get for Christmas?
« on: December 25, 2019, 03:29:24 PM »
Just curious.

No old computing stuff for me this year- I missed out on a very specific USA Tandy coco-3 converted to UK mains  in Septemeber on Ebay- last year I had some joysticks and games- but could not very well ask the wife for one and expect to get it as her electronic skills are probably not there and the cost is pretty prohibitive.
Most years I get some Dragon or Atari stuff, this year I have not had the time, sadly.

I did get an Essex county champions Polo. Nothing Wasps though- I own about 30 active wasps shirts plus hoodies etc.  I would love to buy some more but I insist on the old cotton style supporters style jerseys- like we had for 150-  I feel fast in the proper ones and replicas, despite not even being 12 stone (touch wood).

I know what I would like as a late present - a W at Bristol, or at least a functioning train to get there- it is rail replacement from Bridgend. Still, can't have everything.

A lot of the usual socks and chocs, several books, a very nice pocket knife and some whisky.

A pretty good haul to be honest.

Now about that win...

A credit note for 2020 - 2021 Season Ticket and the makings for enough Negroni to sink me.

After shave, whiskey, gin, socks. The first three to be drunk in reverse order. 🤢

I also got Alistair Cook's autobiography.
I will wait on Warren Gatlands'  until his career is finished at international level. Always seems a rip off to do an autobiography when you know it will be updated in a couple of years.

I received the Eddie Jones Biography, Cider, Port and Ales and a Go Pro action camera for my Motorbike.

Looking forward to my second Turkey lunch and Xmas pudding this afternoon.

Nice score on the GoPro.

We don't do presents anymore. In recent years we’ve done Christmas Presence - turn up between Christmas and New Year, eat, drink and be merry. We’ve treated ourselves to Christmas away instead this year. A bit of luxury in Brizzle.

Saracens hat, scarf and season ticket… time to take a pragmatic approach to my emotional health.  ;D

Not really. Books and socks, both of which I go through at an alarming rate.

Happy Christmas to all, btw.

Cider, tell me more!

No idea what the poster had - but as a keen cider man myself - the West Country is littered with farm producers and even the big ones like Thatchers provide v decent still draft for 85p a pint into your own container!

If you do get down this way, this is one of the best

I got some great bits for my man cave, a Nightsearcher inspection lamp and a little Bluetooth speaker. Also got a really cool Wera Tool check plus, it is a set of sockets, screwdriver bits and drivers that is only the size of my hand and can undo or tighten most fixings on my motorbike if needed when out and about.
