An interesting read.. especially from somone who has come through the Irish system.

This is why I think its good that players moving into coaching need to go to other clubs, other leagues, countries, to experience different pressures, ideas and philosophies

I'm sure that for the next 2-3 years we'll talk about copying the Irish system when they do well in Europe or 6N.

Then if they fail at the next world cup, they'll talk about copying ours...

Then after that, we'll go back to wanting to copy theirs etc etc etc

So ring-fencing the Premiership might not be such a good solution for England after all. Interesting article but he also needs to consider why Wales did so well last season in the Six Nations and both Wales & Ireland have done quite well over the last few years.
