There is a long standing Welsh tradition of referring to people named Dai by their jobs. Dai milk, Dai post, Dai taxi etc.
Dai Young will always be Dai Wasps.

Diolch yn fawr i chi Dai.
The Welsh version of the sentiments expressed by all the other posts.
The first rugby club I supported was the All Whites - officially known as Swansea & playing at St Helens. Is that the only rugby pitch shared with a cricket field! Knew that something had changed when we played Swansea (or was it already Ospreys?) at Adams Park & we beat them. The important word there is “we” meaning Wasps.
Be great if Dai moves on to Ospreys. They need the kind of resurrection that Dai gave us.

Thanks John, Emma has tweeted me to say he has seen it. I hope it gives him some idea of the love there is for him amongst the Wasps faithful.

Think it's safe to say if he viewed this thread after reading your words it would reinforce just how highly the Wasps faithful regard him.

Very well put and I am in complete agreement.

Dai went above and beyond in the early years and took us to the brink of recapturing former glory. And he did it more often than not sat in the stand in No. 1 dress. A gent to the end.
