Just got an email from Toulouse Rugby selling Toulouse branded masks at 4€ a pop. Would be a money spinner methinks.

Masks now legally required in France so there's immediately a bigger market for them. Still worth getting ahead of the game and designing some Wasps masks though.

As a note on masks, unless they have some kind of filter and pinch at the nose they are next to useless

And no point in having them if you are antibody +ve [ie have had the infection, and have mounted an antibody response]

I think we are aware of what is a good/bad mask. It has been covered enough by the "media". These are ok for French requirements and nobody is saying anything else.

I use a 3M respirator when I go shopping. Fits the face very well.

Yeah of course, sorry. I only offered it in case some people didn't have the same information. Didn't mean it to come across as more pointed.

Though I'm not sure what the "media" bit means

I don’t think we know this for sure i.e. antibody +Ve confers permanent protection against reinfection.

I thought that the French has discovered that smoking keeps the virus away. So you’d have thought the masks would have been designed with this in mind.

The big unknown is if the virus mutates, will those antibodies still protect you.

Depends on the mutation.

Lets face it we are all going to get it in one form or another. Nice thought but can't see any other way. They are surmising that the whole population should be offered this year's flu jab and I must admit that in the years I have had it I haven't had more than a sniffle (and tomorrow will be struck down!).
