Ones on my list to tick off are:

Jimmy Gopperth
Thomas Young
Brad Shields
Charlie Matthews
Nizaam Carr
Lima Sopoaga
Marcus Watson
Tom Cruse

So naturally it will be someone not on my list again. Which isn't a bad thing, but just makes me realize all the players we need to maintain squad stability.

Since it's his birthday I'd expect Young.

Myles Edwards 2nd row

Does this suggest as a replacement for Charlie?

Hope not - Charlie showed good form in recent times and more importantly, stood up and showed leadership...noticeable (to me, anyway!) that he was often leading the "chat" when there were breaks in play - and was also playing really well.

Marcus Watson

didn't he re-sign earlier in the season, or did I imagine that?

Maybe a replacement for Tibo if he decides to head to France.

However with Launch & Rowlands likely away on international duty regularly, perhaps he's just an additional Lock.

Edwards - 6 ft 6 & 19 and a half stone, he's a unit!

We'll have to wait & see which of the current locks leave, but with Gaskell increasingly injury prone, Launchbury & Rowlands away a lot, it wouldn't hurt to add some squad players

I know next to nothing about Myles Edwards but I think it’s very sensible to sign players that have local links.

The likes of Elliott, Wadey, Matt Symons etc. had no affinity with the Midlands so I wasn’t surprised to see them leave.

I noticed that Pete Atkinson and Richard Blaze originate from the local area too so they won’t have excessive relocation costs and/or school choices etc. to worry about.

Whilst Birmingham is not known as a hot bed of rugby I am sure there are many good players that originate there.

Good luck Myles and welcome.
