Online viewing of GP matches
« on: June 06, 2020, 04:06:05 PM »
I have binned BT Sport on the Sky platform.

Does anyone have any recommendations at to which are the best online viewing options?

Hi John

I have been mulling this over as well. For next year I am unsure as to whether I will get a ST, as dad has decided he will not. Thus I have been looking into this. I might well get a VPN package, like NordVPN, and buy the NBC Gold package, depending on what they offer in that bundle for next year. Even if I do get a ST (and I think I am more likely to get tickets as and when I want to go, and just get cheap seats), I won't be going by car, but instead go on my motorbike (parking is free that way).

Works out to about £8/month, but the Gold package is one annual payment of about £65 and the Nord VPN is one payment of about £95 for 3 years. There are probably better deals out there for a VPN, I am sure.

That was for this season of course, nothing about next season.

Agreed. I got it so that I could watch when in France but really there is no point in having BT as well.

Google for a Nord VPN discount code, the sponsor a lot of YouTubers and give them all affiliate discounts to hand out of up to 60%

Shouldn't be too hard to secure one.

Thanks for the info guys. So basically get a VPN, select an US city and subscribe to NBC Rugby!

If you’re on BT broadband, then BT sports costs just £6 a month.

I’ve got NBC as well and use Express VPN.

Advantage of NBC is every game live and full replays. Whilst you get the BT commentary during the games shown on BT you don’t get the build up and nothing at half time

The best deals for me are all based on Sky platforms - TV, Broadband and Mobile.

Must admit I have BT broadband and EE mobile - different deals but I manage to get the BT Sports free from EE (to stay with them). Same company different rules methinks.

Last time I looked, the NBC package also gives you the 6 nations and Euro games as well... possibly the AI's

I think the deal with NBC was designed to promote the game within the US whilst not predicting that people outside the US would hook into a US public IP addreses via VPN to allow it to be watched outside the US.

I doubt PRL would even know how to monitor this and NBC won't care as long as more people sign up

However will lay odds that CVC will know how to stop it if they wish.

What odds are you offering?
