Tom Wood has a pulmonary embolism so won't be playing. Wish him all the best with recovery. Glad he's not playing though, always thought he rallied the troops effectively.

That's a blow for Tom and Saints, very serious. It reminds me of Dan. Wonder if blood clots are becoming a new issue for rugby, or if that's just perception.

The BBC do not appear to know the difference between a vein and an artery.
PE's are part of the complex of lung problems associated with covid-19.
[I had a scan on friday to see if I had a PE as an explaination for very odd and persistent lung symptoms post-covid [negative].]

I was taken into the Conquest hospital at the end of April/beginning of May with suspected Covid. When my test came back negative, I couldn't be moved into the general wards and was isolated within the isolation red zone.
