I think he comes across very well in his interview and I don't think I'd have the same outlook as him if it were to happen to me!
It's nice to read that Wasps was his only consideration once a Welsh move was off the table - I certainly wouldn't begrudge him leaving us to pursue international ambitions but not to another GP club!

The back row selection for Saints will be interesting. Willis, Young and Shields for me but Willis or Shields at #8?

Its a tricky one Heathen, good players but good 8's? Its an area we could turn out to be weak in..we'll have to see.

It does seem that until younger Willis begins to blossom or Vailanu hits his stride, we're short on 8's.

Shields has the bulk, Willis the explosive power off of the base and Youngs the hands of a good 8.  Ideally you'd want all 3 on the pitch, but just feels a bit out of balance.  That being said, you could have them vary who packs down at 8 based on attacking/defensive I guess

Shields should be our No.8 all day long and twice on Sundays (which may happen at this rate).  I've said it for nearly a season.

He should be captain too.

Just my humble opinion.  Your mileage may vary.

Wonder if the loss of Carr together with the condensed schedule and the inevitable need to rotate will see Willis jr grab his chance with both hands.  He's bound to get a chunk of game time that may not otherwise have come his way just yet.

I would think that is a definite. Maybe off the bench to start with but with his injuries behind him (hopefully) he should start to shine - remember his brother thinks he is the better player.

He reminds me very much of Tom Rees but more  resilient.
