Since when has a ref blocking not mattered..is that a new directive, because it used to be play reset before the close down.

Don't believe it ever has. If the ball hits them, or I think the player carrying the ball, but not the rest.

A ref cannot affect play..never been allowed.

No one was in contact with the Wuss player, he effectively got back to his feet and tried again, no ruck. Cruse did it and was in contact with a Wuss player, ruck formed, then pulled back on the ball. Correct call, annoyingly.
