Not often BB gives that, this time to Gabriel Oghre. How many of you here said what a bonkers idea it was fielding him there? Come on, hands up.

I'll admit I thought it was strange, but he was exceptional. Another one of Lee's position changes paid off, added depth at 7 I didn't know we had!

Tom Lindsay and Rob Webber both played at 2 and 7 for Wasps. I think that Phyllis was another.

Interestingly:

Gaby:          16st 1lbs   5ft 10in

Neil Back:    14st 9lbs   5ft 10in

And one of the best open sides I've ever seen (IMO).

Heinie Brussow: 16st 3lbs   5ft 11in

Players in general were lighter when Back was playing. No real reason why Gaby can't flourish at open side, if needed. Selection versatility.

Thought he had a great game but I'd be surprised if we see too much of him in the back row outside of the current mini season. First half he was adapting and came into his own in the second. But he's got a massive future at hooker. Useful to know he can fill in at 7 though!

Being backrow/hooker didn't do Ashley or our selection possibilities any harm!

No, point taken. The versatility is nice for us but I hope his "focus" is on hooker.

He is exceptionally good as a hooker; from a club perspective it makes sense to use him in the back row because we also have Cruse, Barbeary and TT. Barbeary could probably make a very decent 8.

Looks like he'd make a decent tight head!

I thought Barbeary's second position was playing centre???
