He would be the obvious choice. Would the club that he's now at (was it Moseley?) have even started their season? In fact, have the lower leagues even been been given dates of when their seasons start.

The other go to club for loan players seems to be Nottingham

I said after Oghre's injury yesterday that someone needs to give Ash a call.  Given his versatility and the schedule we were up against I was staggered he wasn't kept on until the end of the season anyway.  I'm sure an agreement could've been reached with Moseley easily enough.

Ashley is a good call.

I suspect he has some fitness work to do.

Ash indeed - especially as he could slot in at Back-Row if needed too

Arguably we need two hookers, as it's asking a lot of Barbeary at this level so early, having not even hit a scrum in anger.

Oghre could easily be back for the Bristol game. He could equally miss it, but I don't think we need more than 1 extra just yet.

After what appeared to be a proper knock out, i wouldn't be surprised to see a 3 week rest.

most important thing for me. As well as the rest of the game play moves e.g. calls off 9 and so on. Would be stunned if we don't sign Ash shirt term.

The other bonus of Ashley is he could also give some back row cover where we could be a little light.

Heart says Ash, brain says maybe not. He is dynamite in the loose but not sure he cracked hooker at set piece - especially line out. If a specialist hooker is available I'd go that way. If not Ash is an option.

Are we expecting better to be available though? I reckon any hooker not with a prem club has been sat around watching Netflix and munching burgers and will take time to learn the Wasps calls, Ash has an advantage out the box.
I can't think of a better fit myself

I think Barbeary will slot in like a glove and deal with anything that is demanded of him physically.
