Last game against Exeter
« on: September 10, 2020, 09:42:49 AM »
It's very close between us and Bath, and I was just wondering if Exeter manage to win the regular season (they have as good as done it already) before the last game against us, is there any chance that they might rest some of their better players?

Baxter is playing to qualify as early as possible (which he may have done last night) so that his main team is well rested for the Euro campaign. If they win the Quarter (against Saints) then they will be much weakened against us but as we have seen a weakened Chiefs are still very good.
Let me tell you something cucumber

As we've seen previously, Exeter resting players hasn't affected the success of their performances.

They have a QF and almost certainly [Saints permitting] a SF in the two weekends before the Wasps game, then a SF the weekend after.

It makes sense for them to rest a lot of players against us.

A side where Chiefs have rested their 'best' players is still a very strong team.

Think we need wins under our belt vs Bears and Quins first before we worry about Chiefs.

Let's hope Sale bring their A-Game to Bath this weekend! Or they enjoy a 3-3 draw.

2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th is so tight.  4 points between us all.
