JTA Likely to Miss Out.

BB reports this morning.

CoventryLive understands that Jeff Toomaga-Allen is unlikely to feature in tomorrow’s game.

The Kiwi tighthead was withdrawn 20 minutes after arriving as a substitute against Exeter Chiefs on Sunday.

That gave him a tight turnaround of six days to pass the protocols, with Wasps head coach Lee Blackett admitting on Tuesday he was a ‘doubt’ but was ‘hopeful’ he would pull through.

But we understand he will not feature. With Kieran Brookes a certainty to start, that will likely mean that Biyi Alo will provide back up on the right side of the scrum from the bench.

The powerhouse forward has started three games since the season restarted against Worcester Warriors, Bath and Saracens.

He also featured in the three bonus point wins prior to lockdown, scoring his second try of the season against London Irish.

Another option is Jack Owlett, who has made just two substitute appearances since the restart against Sale and Saracens.

He also reports that Briz have a concern over Charles Piatau's achilles. If he is absent, Max Malins is likely to fill in.

Piatau is a threat, but Malins I fear a lot more

Malins dances through tackles and is very quick. A serious threat.
