Unanimous! Excellent news. Great for Wasps and great for Henley. A new breath of life into a failing facility. Businesses need all the help they can get at the minute and this will be a shot in the arm for local businesses. The unanimous decision shows just how distorted social media can get sometimes.

Excellent news.
Trying not to put a downer on it but being a Jonah/playing devils advocate: this is obviously brilliant news but does anyone know if there is a right to appeal the planning decision? If there is you can bet your sweet life that those opposed to it will do so.

It’s while since I was involved in mobile phone network building and there may have been changes, but the answer is yes they can and we had that happen to us a couple of time.  In theory the planning inspector has to adjudicate within 6 months and they can only overturn the decision if there has been an error or abuse in the process.

Even then an objection can be made and it goes to the Secretary of State and as a final step there’s always judicial review.

They can appeal but someone has to pay for the costs if they want to take it far and they may have to stump up for any council/Wasps costs on the way.

An appeal has to be sent to Bristol. The Inspectorate are very pro the side who want to do any development - have seen a lot of it in my area. As said, costs have to be paid by the appellant.

So the short answer appears to be "no" then!  (Unless the locals want to lose a load of money simply to delay the inevitable)

Happy days indeed.  Hard to imagine how we could top all yesterday's good news... at least for another couple of days! :)
