I see he's sticking with his 4 13's policy! Pleased for JL. He deserved his spot after Georgia.

It's at least partly a starting selection that manages to pay more than lip service to Jones' "preferences" but also appears to fall between two stools.

The pack is pretty much RWC first team from those available for selection. Launch increases its mobility, which is a good thing given Billy V hasn't exactly unleashed much pace in recent times

With Ford fit and wingers in the squad, the backs selection is one that you know will be rather slower than I'd prefer with Youngs and Farrell suggesting a kicking approach, Slade wasted rather at 12 and Lawrence in the "Young Manu" role.....JJ at wing again suggests Jones wanting to be amazed by his own brilliance......

It is a clear choice though. 4 outside centres starting the game  - all better ball in hand, and what is likely to be a kicking game....oh well. Glad Wasps are playing this w/e!

He's played about 70 minutes so far across 4 games and scored twice - quite possibly a better ratio than Youngs over his 100+ outings, never mind his quicker distribution, tackling ability, support running, etc. etc.

So if he gets on for another 10 mins ,gets a third try... Man of the Match?
