I think Lima suits our game more at 15 then at 10. Had Jacob not been released I'd have preferred to see Atkinson at 10, Jimmy at 12 and Lima at 15.

Makes the Cordero interest story from the weekend, even as initially a short term injury cover, make even more sense.

But he is not available until next summer. Still with Bordeaux until then.

Completely agree. Hope Atkinson is on the bench.

Had Umaga not been released I'd have gone with JG at 10, MLB 12 and JdJ at 13 with LS at 15. Again we fall foul of Eddie calling people into pointless training squads with no intention of playing them but excluding them from team preparation. Umaga will learn infinitely more in the Prem than knocking about an international training ground.

Disagree. Being around international players is also very useful experience to playing in the premiership. Both will be very helpful to Umagas progression. Ford is one of the best attacking fly halves in the world, being around him would be invaluable experience.

Is it really..or is it a soundbite?
I'm with Shugs, he'll learn a lot more facilitating a game than he will holding tackle bags for the internationals, half of which is questionable if they are the best in the country in their position such is the talent in the prem. BTW - Ford is injured.

Ah fair. I still think it's useful to be in an international set up.

I think I heard Ford is fit again but I agree playing for Wasps in the Premiership will always be a better option for Jacob than training but not playing for England.

I agree, there's lots to learn for young players with the potential for England selection. It means they aren't as star struck when they do eventually make the grade for regular games and they learn what standards they have to make to get a regular selection.

But there is a law of diminishing returns and at some point the benefit of being in England < the befit of getting game time.

That's actually pretty damn well put together, I completely agree.
