Criminal to not find touch.
It is like Nicky Robinson all over again with our kicking today.

Jacob's looking very swollen on the left side of his face, I wonder if he's OK? He's definitely out of sorts at the moment.

Maybe two or three backs in credit today. Kiberige blameless, Bassett blameless and Odogwu noticeably good. Minozzi looked ok since replacing Lima. The others just awful today.

One of those days where the sum of the parts is distinctly less.

I think when Wasps have their established internationals....they know exactly how they want to play.

It looks like we might have to play in a more pragmatic style without certain key players.
We're just not doing the basics right to build the platforms to attack from.

I have to say as a club fan...I hate the international breaks.
Not just losing the players....but the injuries and changes in confidence levels after they return. Players forget how to trust themselves....having had all instinct coached out of them at the top level.

Thing is we've done more than enough to win this, we've butchered so much quick ball it's almost unbelievable.

If Jimmy put his kicking boots on and Lima was left at home there would have been little in it irrespective or our inability to catch a rugby ball or have anything resembling a line out.

Its little things (and a big decision or two from the management) but we really aren't far off, the worry is losing becomes a habit. Europe may be a timely break.

And in a 3 try a piece game we get nothing, finally slotting our first points from the boot after 82 mins.
It might have been 3 a piece, but it felt like we were stuffed.

Jacob looks like a brokenish cheekbone or at least a fair whack there.

I suppose we stopped them getting a BP and but for missed kicks we'd have had one.

To my untutored eye I thought the front row(s) had done well scrummaging, maybe the opposition weren't as good as some but they did look solid and in the 2nd half got a couple of nudges on.

I also thought Josh, Paulo and Zac did well under the circumstances, Josh in particular seemed to chase well and go looking for work and continues to look solid under the high ball. The problem with judging those guys is we can't really see what they're doing off the ball.

Well that was terrible. Where to start. Line out was terrible. Taylor and Oghre's throwing needs serious work. We were just awful ball in hand. High floaty passes. Wolstenholme, Umaga, Gopperth and Sopoaga never threw a sympathetic pass. Umaga's double pump looked like trouble every time. I hate to say it but maybe time is catching up with Jimmy. He's losing yards in the tackle and looks less sharp in attack. Odogwu was OK but with him and Jimmy at centre we looked defensively weaker. Above all the basics were just terrible. We came out with a bit of intent and Sopoaga's ridiculous pass took the wind from our sails. We really need our internationals back!

So potentially we have Gaskell, Morris and Umaga injured. Something is wrong with Jimmy - certainly bicep but he had problems with one foot.

We need players back quickly.
