England have just been humiliated , they should be ashamed of themselves, what are they celebrating about, they have just struggled to beat a cobbled together French side

Exactly.
So boringly robotic from England.
Can’t watch then anymore.
Was cheering for Shaun and France.

I was following on BBC Live reporting......the ex pros who provide comment seem to be quite pleased with the result, but Ojo and especially Dawson seem to talk a lot of guff....quite embarrassing from decent ex-pros who really ought to be questioning v closely how England just got over the line, only with the (according to Grauniad) assistance of a couple of helpful reffing decisions at turnover.....with their first team

The England starting XV would be who wouldn't have started a RWC Final and France were short of 25 top players yet (as far as I can see) and played most of the rugby (great try) It seems to confirm much of the criticism that has gone England's way this Autumn.

French strength in depth is well known - it has been poor selection strategies and strategies that have kept them back.

Brice Dulin was brilliant.

The most annoying thing is how England seemed to step up a gear and used the ball in that final 10 mins .

We've seen ourselves how things can click when the pressure is off.

France were almost in a no lose situation. No one expected them to win. All the pressure was on England.

France came out and got on the scoreboard early and that drove them on.

Just because it wasn't their first team doesn't mean we were against a bunch of amateurs.
Cup competitions in all sports show how teams ranked significantly lower than their opposition can regularly spring surprises.

Yes, England should have won, and should probably have done it comfortably, however, games like this prove why it's actually worth playing the game.
