Fekitoa is the key to the backline IMO and whatever it takes should be done to keep him.

Plus one! we are a better team with him down on the sheet. Better in offence, better in defence.
I think Brookes is also nearly a "must keep at all costs"

He is also enjoying playing with Wasps.

With Joe and Will Rowlands away so often...I think we need another lump of a lock.

I mean the issue here is a large amount of money is tied up in a player who really hasn't performed as expected. I think either way its time to cut it short and use the money more wisely.

I don't think we can. A contract is a contract. The penalty for breaking it is probably worse than just wearing the salary cost. We've learned a brutal lesson about paying out that kind of money for players we don't know for such long-term contracts. We could have spent that money on keeping Daly.

True. That's why it will be interesting to see if there's an offer on him from Japan or if there is a third year.

We find ourselves in an interesting position. With all available there's a strong argument we don't need anyone. That's a difficulty in itself as your trying to get guys who are basically understudies or international cover. In terms of must keeps irrespective of current contract situation I'd say West, Oghre, Barbeary, Brookes, Launchbury, Willis, Shields, Young, Umaga, Robson, Fekitoa, Kibirige, Minozzi and Bassett. It's then a case of building around that very strong core (I realise that's a lot of must keeps!!).

Agree entirely with the original sentiment. Not sad to see him go for what he offered in the later years.

I suspect that Lima will leave at the end of the current season. A one year extension to his initial two year deal is where he is at currently. What we really need to do is to secure Malakai's services going forward.

I always want to keep academy players if they're good enough. Daly is a bit hit or miss as an international full-back but I always thought he was a quality 13 for Wasps.

OK well I think you must have missed his last couple of years at least because he was an embarrassment for Wasps with his overall attitude.

Doing great at the minute and covers at least three positions but I wouldn't quite class him as essential as the others.

Unfortunately its mostly miss compared to his early years. He used to have a lovely running style and would often run latterly back behind the breakdown until he saw a gap and then effortlessly and imperceptibly go up a couple of gears and would be through it before the defence realised what was happening. I don't think I've seen that for England and on the rare occasions I've watched Sarries didn't perform like that.

Attitude of not, I don't think he's worth a regular place in the current side and certainly not the money he'd probably be expecting.
