Officials for the weekend
« on: December 09, 2020, 10:50:21 PM »
'The final action of Saturday sees Wasps make the trip to Rodney Parade to face Dragons, as last season’s Premiership finalists look to exert themselves on the European stage.

France’s Romain Poite will be officiating the match in Newport, assisted by an all-Welsh team of Dan Jones and Gwyn Morris on the line, with Nigel Owens as TMO.'

Interesting combination. Can’t wait for the conversations between those two!

I guess it's due to COVID but surprised to see a number of Welsh officials, on a match with a Welsh team, thought they always tried to use neutral officials.

It suggests that we might see English officials, other than the ref, the following week.

I really don't worry that officials would be biased. They will be focusing on officiating and also well aware of scrutiny.

It's like making up the numbers for another team, once you start playing you want to win.
