Some good news: Tim Cardall signs new deal with Wasps
Wasps are delighted to announce that lock Tim Cardall has extended his contract with the club.
The 24-year-old has made 25 appearances for Wasps since joining Wasps’ Senior Academy for the 2018/19 season from Nottingham Rugby.
Cardall impressed playing every minute in all ten of Wasps A’s 2018/19 Premiership Rugby Shield games, scoring two tries. That fine form saw Cardall promoted to the first-team squad for 2019/20.
Last season the powerful second-row appeared 16 times in Black and Gold, including impressive performances in the Gallagher Premiership away wins at Saracens and Worcester Warriors.
He has also won England Students honours and in 2017/18 regularly guested for Wasps in the A League and Anglo-Welsh Cup, before joining the club permanently.
Wasps Head Coach Lee Blackett said: “We are thrilled that Tim has agreed a new contract with us.
“Tim has been a vital member of the strong group of locks at the club, as well as being a very popular member of the squad.
"He has had a really good last 12 months and shown a great appetite to learn over the last few seasons. We are all looking forward to working with him further in the coming years.”
Cardall added: “I am delighted to have extended my contract at Wasps.
“It was an easy decision for me to commit my future here, we have a really good group of players and staff and I’m excited to continue working with them.
“I’m really enjoying my time at the club and I have loved getting the opportunities to play recently.
“As a club we have a really good environment and I’m very excited about being part of the clubs future, as I feel I have a lot more to give.”
