Hmmm. Saw quite a few of those differently. Rowlands gave some pens away but he was really good tonight. Shields, I thought was great.

I thought Rowlands was about the best he's ever been and really showed why he is getting the international recognition he deserves.

The way he swam though the maul again and again was beautiful to watch. We're going to miss him.

Ditto - Porter 7???

I was a bit surprised at that, he had a better game but that was from a low base, although to be fair its always hard to get the full picture from TV.

His box kicking was better and they could at least compete for most of them, but it was hard to judge his passing game as there wasn't a great deal going on. He gets praise for his aggression, but too often that means he's involved at the breakdown and not available to do his job.

I also noticed that both he and Jacob have a basic technical flaw when catching the ball at the back - they both stood front on rather than turn their bodies slightly so if they do misjudge the wet ball its at least got a chance of going backwards.

He's a long way to go to be Dobbie's permanent understudy, let alone pushing for his place.

Yup, Rowlands was much better last night after a couple of sub-par performances. Umaga really needs to man TF up otherwise he's going to fade from view with Atkinson breathing down his neck so fiercely.

I'd have given Rowlands a 6.5. Not sure how Gaskell got more given how much less he played.

I'd take one off Jimmy, Malakai and Jacob.
