That was more like it! Bet the players feel like that as well, must be so much better for them to go through the analysis having won.

A few things that I thought, which haven't been mentioned much in threads on the other place;

Bone dry today, I am increasingly starting to think the weather has an effect on our confidence and obviously our higher risk style not suited to the wet.

I noticed a few times that Gopperth did some of those flat passes to a forward very close to contact like Cipps does.

WLR is an emotional guy, clearly getting frustrated on several occasions.

Despite the intensity, I don't recall any 'serious' injuries to Wasp players. Wonder if the lower tackles this week have helped in that.

Gopperth finally managed to hold up a guy!

As always, things to work on. BUT ... 9/10/12 worked very well in attack and defence. WLR seemed to lack confidence in his own abilities. Under pressure, right in front of me, he threw the ball away. Luckily, the first person to grab it was (a lock, maybe Rowlands?) a Wasps player. There was one point when something he did came off and he trotted back to his position with a big grin on his face and arms raised aloft to the cameras. You could see he enjoyed himself most when he came in to the line.

No obvious injuries no. When Nathan went off, his leg strapping (the one that had been dead legged in a previous game) had been changed to include a large ice pack on the outside of the thigh.

The refereeing made a huge difference. Not the ref himself, who did make some very odd decisions, but the fact that it was very obvious that the TJ's and the TMO all worked as a team with the ref, and he took their input on board. Very early on, he pinged offside players in defensive lines, because the TJ was letting him know. It stopped Quins from disabling our attack. We got pinged more for it, which was not good. He reffed the scrum, rucks and mauls fine, but he missed an awful lot in the lineout.

Quins have picked up a hole in the lineout law that needs fixing for safety reasons. If the jumper for the ball does not get back to ground (is magically held in the air), they can drive holding him up there and the defense cannot tackle him. Or, at least, that is how the ref let it work.

Yeah, I thought that - basically if you hold the catcher up, you can walk unopposed over the try line!

I have seen that sort of lineout thing as well, was it Exeter doing it? Not all the time like Quins were, but occasionally changing the speed of descent. In previous cases it was more about stealing a penalty, were Quins actually driving before their player was down?

Yes, they were. It was quite complex what they were up to. You have to watch their whole lineout squad as soon as he jumper catches the ball. They move forward and force the defence to engage and resist, which Wasps did and got pinged for. If you watch the game, it is in the last three minutes of the first half. Launch gets frustrated with the ref for not seeing it.

Think you will find that it is illegal to continue to hold the jumper in the air. Its another of those ref judgement issues, which is what the ref told both sides at the time. He wanted the jumper brought to ground promptly and did not want the defence to hit the lifters until the jumper was down.

It would have been a good day to throw in some of those uncontested lineouts to expose them.

Law 19.10 (g)
(g) Lowering a Player. Players who support a jumping team-mate must lower that player to the ground as soon as the ball has been won by a player of either team.
Sanction: Free Kick on the 15-metre line

There will always be a grey area over exactly when the ball is won and the "as soon as" part.
You'll often see a step or 2 taken by the lifters.... but it should get pulled up if it's all the time or any more than that

Seen plenty of sides using that trick for years now.  Just need to not overuse it, once or twice a game and no more.
