Ireland v England
« on: March 20, 2021, 05:55:52 PM »
Einstein defined madness as doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.

England have reverted to type and are executing badly and it’s getting tedious. A couple of good tries from Ireland and nearly a third.

Dobbie on with 25 mins to go. At least a decent chance to make an impact.

Billy V, Youngs, Ford, Farrell are woeful. Wish they would disappear with the odious little gnome Jones. We are going backwards. Completely lost interest in watching England these days.

Being played of position though because Farell’s gone off for a head injury assessment.

Dropping Daly seems to have given him a proverbial kick up the backside. Still not convinced by his defence but at least he is making some breaks. Jones should try the same tactic with his other precious undropables

Agree about Daly, best he’s played for some time.

Tough red card but can’t really argue given the directions.

Daly is a woeful full back. He's basically beaten by every high ball. He's made one line break. But he's not the worst. Billy V has sulked around at snails pace all game whilst Young box kicks us all to sleep. This is not a good Irish side either.

Well played Ireland, so far. A very dumb England performance - back to the future - like it's 2018, but without the redeeming factors of actually looking like they were in the games they lost.....

Anybody know why EJ didn't bring Ford on when Farrell went off? I'm glad Robson is on, but at 10?!

To be fair he's been England's most impressive 10 this Championship...

Well. That was poor. Well done Ireland, always in control without having to be exceptional. Where does England go from here? Unfortunately Jones has a long contract so we are stuck with this dross for a while yet. Maybe he has a conscience and decides he is out of ideas and walks? Doubt it myself, but there is always hope. We could field two better England teams than that embarrassment just witnessed in 6 nations

England should be thankful Italy are still playing and its a 6N because those performances earned a 5N wooden spoon.

All that can be said about the whole campaign is that Eddie allowed the EA contingent to play themselves in to match fitness and some form.

It looks as if we're stuck with EJ, which is    uber depressing. Presumably he will continue fielding elderly EAs.  Oh dear.
