Insane. Can't imagineToulon's 2nd row injury crisis can possibly be any worse than ours. What the hell is this all about??

I suspect this was agreed before Joe's injury. Although even if that was the case I'm not sure why.

Can be the only explanation.

OT and anecdote alert ...

Quote
Another thought might this be something to sweeten the fact that Brookes is resigning ..

This made me smile as I read it as it brought back a story I was told.

A very good friend of very good friends who we meet regularly (or did when we could)  is one of the Garden Girls (elite secretaries for the PM) and has been for a long time, having worked for Maggie.

One day after Maggie had signed a letter a mistake was noticed and it was sent to her for retyping, which she did and sent back to Maggie with a note attached saying "PM, please resign".

The next day she got the note back from Maggie with the comment: "Not today, dear."

She has some other great stories about PMs, we're sworn to secrecy on those, but you'd be surprised what PMs get up to when on trips (not sexual promiscuity, much more banal than that)

I started this thread worried about our 2nd row. By the end my mind is trying to deal with a story containing the words 'sexual promiscuity' straight after Margaret Thatcher. This was not where I was expecting the thread to go.
On the second row, either we are unimpressed with Douglas or vice versa, or we are skint or signing some talent soon. Who knows? To let him go seems odd, but we are outside.

While the timing of this is now not great with injuries this looks to me like Levi was given an additional year which was running out and not to be renewed so agreement was reached prior to this that he could go early if the right offer came along which it has.
Rowlands, Gaskell, Cardell, Jaiani will see the season out, with cover from Ben Morris and Brad Shields and emergency cover from Ben Harris who has also done second row previously, if this was agreed prior to Launch and Theo injuries then would be understandable given the names mentioned, wouldn't be a panic inducing measure in that case!

I'm also struggling to understand this. Could it possibly be a salary cap issue?

Doubt it.  It smacks of something in the realms of a f' up.

Strikes me as very convenient that it comes out as a social media blackbout starts. Not even a comment from BB.

Presumably also a link somewhere with someone he played with / was coached by in his Oyonnax time as well.

You're thinking of Myles Edwards
