Good call from Jack (or perhaps his Dad!) I was a very keen angler and found it one of the few things I could do and take myself off for the day and feel it time spent well. I enjoyed it both by myself and with a mate and there is - for me - something of a "shared experience" from meeting on the bank at an unearthly hour.
I've missed doing this in recent years and the TV programme with Bob and Vic "Gone fishing" brought back a lot of positive memories and have got me thinking about starting up again. I find a couple of neighbours are keen, which is nice.
I hope it provides that space for Jack - in between the sort of rehab that I think I'd prefer not to know too much about...And it's quite humbling to hear how positive he is.
