all good!

re the training centre, anyone local seen any actual work taking place there? I can't remember whether they said it would be ready for the start of next season?

I happened to pass a week or so ago. Scaffolding around the sports centre and builders vans etc in evidence. All weather pitch was being laid at least looked like a sub base was down so work is progressing.

An unusual one, as the UK HQ is down here in Plymouth, nonetheless chuffed for the team to get more sponsorship and even more pleased that Wrigleys didn't give the money to Chiefs.

looking on the map Arden house conference centre is next door in what appears to be the same grounds. Does anyone know if this was part of the deal?

Yes be interested in that because for years the site was offered as a whole - I looked at it in the mid naughties when it ceased to be a school (£2.5m wanted). It included the old house, the newer school building, the sports centre and masses of land including pitches.

No R in Wigleys!!

[This is OT, but Wrigley were bought by the company that I worked for for 32 years - Mars Inc. The rationale for the purchase was that Mars had tried for decades to run the sugar product side of their business, on the very highly successful manner that they ran the chocolate arm. It needed a different rationale. The purchase of Wrigley gave them the chewing gum business that they had been desperate to develop (and largely failed). For the financial gurus amongst our midst, the ROTA for the UK confectionery group was always around 20%.]
