Wonder if wasps will put out a more senior team this time against Coventry, as last year we had Ulster the next day.

Great to have some dates in to look forward to. September doesn't feel that far off either!

Apologies if I'm being thick here & appreciate it may not be known yet, but if the prem doesn't start till 18th/19th September whats the season going to look like?
As there will be 13 teams, the normal number of International games & some form of Euro cup, if it doesn't start till nearly October, when it will end?

In basic terms it will be an additional 2 rounds so an extra 2 weeks on the season length.

I was looking at this last week. My guess is:

18/09/2021 - Premiership Round 1
25/09/2021 - Premiership Round 2
02/10/2021 - Premiership Round 3
09/10/2021 - Premiership Round 4
16/10/2021 - Premiership Round 5
23/10/2021 - Premiership Round 6
30/10/2021 - Premiership Round 7
06/11/2021 - Premiership Round 8 - England v Tier 2
13/11/2021 - Premiership Round 9 - England v Australia
20/11/2021 - England v South Africa
27/11/2021 - Premiership Round 10
04/12/2021 - Premiership Round 11
11/12/2021 - European Pool Match 1
18/12/2021 - European Pool Match 2
25/12/2021 - Premiership Round 12
01/01/2022 - Premiership Round 13
08/01/2022 - Premiership Round 14
15/01/2022 - European Pool Match 3
22/01/2022 - European Pool Match 4
29/01/2022 - Premiership Round 15
05/02/2022 - Premiership Round 16 - 6 Nations Round 1
12/02/2022 - Premiership Round 17 - 6 Nations Round 2
19/02/2022 - Premiership Round 18
26/02/2022 - Premiership Round 19 - 6 Nations Round 3
05/03/2022 - Premiership Round 20
12/03/2022 - 6 Nations Round 4
19/03/2022 - 6 Nations Round 5
26/03/2022 - Premiership Round 21
02/04/2022 - Premiership Round 22
09/04/2022 - European Last 16 Leg 1
16/04/2022 - European Last 16 Leg 2
23/04/2022 - Premiership Round 23
30/04/2022 - Premiership Round 24
07/05/2022 - European Quarter Final
14/05/2022 - European Semi Final
21/05/2022 - Premiership Round 25
28/05/2022 - European Final
04/06/2022 - Premiership Round 26
11/06/2022 - Premiership Semi Final
18/06/2022 - Premiership Final

Keep in mind that although there will be 26 rounds of Premiership matches, as it's a 13 team league we'll only play 24 games, so two rounds will be bye weekends. That means at least 5 weekends off throughout the season and a maximum of 35 matches.

That probably looks about right.  Would mean any Prem semi finalist with a bye in the final round would have a 3 week break going into the semi.

Will be interesting to see how they allocate the bye rounds.  The teams with more internationals would stand to gain a lot more by having a bye during the international breaks.  A league with an odd number of teams is just shite.  Should never have happened.  Just a vehicle to get Sarries back up.

Forgot it was an odd number of teams now so it ends up being messy.

The situation happened in the Championship this season with an odd number of teams.

Sarries had their bye round whilst most of their internationals were away with England. (they also didn't need to travel to Ampthill)

I can imagine some arguments in the Prem around who gets the benefit.

Bring back the A league as well. Desperately need this to happen to keep the whole squad match fit and see how the younger players in particular are developing.
