Academy games

Seeing some oblique references on social media to Wasps academy team playing in a tournament in the last few days at Malvern college (who knew Kenny & Gabby Logan's son was in the Wasps Academy?)

Can't find any details on how they got on, anyone know anything?

It's a shame the communication around the academy matches is so hit and miss, it can be very difficult to find info, they played a match at Rugby school  before lockdown but only found out after the match had passed, also seen instances where there are clips on social media, but not the score.

In general, even before the Covid lockdown caused staffing issues, communication around Academy and U18 games was very hit and miss. I love going to these games, but, even if I did figure when and where one was happening, ticket information (or if entry was free) and parking/access (in my case could I park my bike) was poor or non-existent.

I am sure that the lads would love to have more support.

I would love to see more publicity about the Academy and the opportunity to attend local games.

I really enjoyed the second xv games at Broadstreet to see who was coming through.

I agree, Broadstreet was great for A games. I wonder if they will host any games at Henley?

going back further the A games at the Met Police ground at Imber Court were always great.

Seeing players like Cips & Dom Waldouk starting their Wasps careers. I miss it!

Ah, Imber Court. One of the few places you could always get a drink on a Sunday afternoon. That was over 50 years ago. I wonder why? ;)

They live in the Beaconsfield area and the lad played through their minis and youths. I know one of the coaches. Apparently he is a tall lad for his age.

They certainly have the space and facilities to.

I imagine that is the plan. Wonder when the academy housing there or nearby will be up and running? Know a lot live together now but not sure if they’re all neighbours, think the transition guys would have their work cut out if they’re all housed on the same site, sounds like a frat house
