Makes you wonder how much SWcomms were paying to sponsor. Could be it was a lot above market rate and no one is prepared to match  / come near it.

 Also with decision re stopping betting companies sponsoring football shirts ( presume rugby & cricket too) at least 9 high profile sides will be available for major companies to give money to.

I suspect a lot of bigger companies will want to avoid the Exeter controversy to be honest. Rugby isn't big enough for it to outweigh the bad press they'll get.

Maybe a fancy dress company could be willing to!

It was SW Comms sponsorship that made Ex the only profitable club in the GP. But oddly their own profits dropped massively at the same time...

It was SW Comms sponsorship that made Ex the only profitable club in the GP. But oddly their own profits dropped massively at the same time...

I strongly suspected that was the case, but could never find real evidence for it (like in terms of just how much sponsorship was given).

They don't break out the sponsorship in their accounts. It is mentioned in the writings about how it's broken down, but only on the latest accounts.
