Irish v Chiefs

Watched the game, expecting a steamroller reaction from Chiefs to the early Irish lead. But muted and is this an end of era? Brilliant rugby from the green men and what a game of rugby

Yes, good game. This is a wide open league this year.

Maybe we tired them out.

Or maybe Irish had wingers that scored.
Let me tell you something cucumber

Irish definitely deserved the win and the score flattered Chiefs.

Not taking anything away fro Irish but I don’t think I’ve seen them such a lack-lustre performance in recent years from Chiefs. They were slow of thought and spilled a lot of ball. Irish we’re really smart at the breakdown, never letting Chiefs settle and they earned a lot of good turnovers.

If the Irish line out had functioned better they could easily has had 2 or 3 more tries.

They knocked on more than I've seen against us too.

Maybe something has changed in their training and some focus is shifting

Irish's defence was tight and infringement free. If you don't concede penalties you can blunt Exeter. Enjoyed one moment in particular when Chiefs were held up and Irish got to drop out. Great rule change.

I know it’s been mentioned with a bit or tongue in cheek but I genuinely think last week took as much out of them as it did us and this score line is the result. Maybe in the long run Lee has made the right calls regarding tomorrow’s team selection.
