Am I the only one somewhat bemused by the complaints from some players about the facilities at Broadstreet when it wasn't long ago the club was sharing the FC grounds at Acton- hardly the most luxurious training ground! Think about all the success that we had as a club when based there. Some players actually boasted about how the winning mentality was built from the bonding experience as a club training out of a glorified shed!!

Well, Nigel Med, welcome to 2021  :D

I think it's fair to say that expectations (and promises) on training facilities and needs to sustain high-performance athletes a fair amount in the 7 years since they left Acton and High Wycombe.

So, sure, we won things whilst training at Acton.  But I never heard anyone boast about the facilities there.  I think it was always the underdog spirit that we were never the richest team, or the team full of stars and we outperformed ourselves that drove us as a team.
