Bad news, but there is one positive in the injury front... Very few, if indeed any, have occurred in training.

Sam appears to be one of those players that gets injured, badly, time after time.

On the bright side Cruse, West and Minozzi back in contention.

Spink, like Barbeary just cannot catch a break. Feel for the lad, especially when he has spoken about the injuries knocking his confidence last season - hope he can bounce back and we continue to look after the young tyros.

Now is a good chance for Will Simonds to get some game time though. Whilst I think McHenry will probably feature ahead of him, Simonds showed some nice touches when he game on against Exeter - Sarries might not be the game to blood him but at the same time Booj and Jimmy are taking a battering each week and could do with a rest.
Also not sure how much Booj has been in training this week with the birth of his son and him having to stay in hospital for a while.

is it only me that's wondering why some of the academy loanees aren't being re-called?
Or maybe they are but its not being announced?

That's a good point. Although we have lots of injuries the real issues are hooker and centres. Do we have anyone out and about that could cover there?

I’m not sure throwing an academy player in against the nasties is a good idea. Talking of which, anyone heard how Charlie’s doing?

Why not? By and large they are out on loan at the very clubs we're taking loans from to plug the gaps. Just don't think we have anyone who plays where we need bodies.

There are two academy lads in the centres on loan that could help with the current injury crisis Ma’asi-White at Moseley who has great potential but has only played about 4 adult games of rugby at present. And Olly Hartley who is seemingly playing very well at Ampthill but is a a couple of years behind Will Simonds (or Cam Anderson) In his development and is probably best off continuing where he is.
No doubt they would have been called back if they were thought to be ready but remember these lads are only just getting back into rugby this season after lots of time off last year and will be being managed carefully.

At hooker there is Eckersley but think he is only in his first year at Loughborough so potentially a way off yet. Very rare that we currently have Barbeary and Atkinson who were good enough to come straight in at 18/19

It was meant to be a tongue in cheek comment, hence my reference to Charlie.

If the coaches think an academy player is ready then the opposition shouldn't be a barrier.

I mean the bad luck is ridiculous but has anyone heard if we train any differently to the rest of the Prem teams? I'm just trying to figure out how on earth we have 20 players out.
