Hougard looks like an inspired piece of transfer business now.

Luckily we are very well stocked at 9 but he will still be sorely missed.

Indeed.

I wonder how long he's had this problem and if playing through it has made it worse? Not blame anyone, I'm sure everyone who has done any sort of sport has tried to play through what were thought of as minor niggles.

In theory. But Hougaard needs to show more than he has so far.

Can't help but think he shouldn't have been playing. He'll be a huge loss

Not sure he has shown anything so far. Porter is currently streets ahead. I would bring Wolstenholme forward too.
Let me tell you something cucumber

Hougaard did some basics a bit better today. Thought Porter was very good. He’s a definite starter with the other two scrapping it out. Would definitely get Wolstenholme some prem cup game time.

+1. Hougaard has some catching up to do.

Hougaard to start prem cup games and Wolstenholme to come off the bench at half time?

I think its a bit harsh to read too much in to Hougaard's performance yesterday. We were getting beaten all ends up by that point  and its hard to see what he could do to turn in round. I think its a good idea he starts in the Prem Cup to get some game time in to his legs and maybe build a bit of confidence.

I agree. Ball from lineouts and scrums was very poor, going backwards. Not sure what he could do with that. Our lads were so tired by this point he didn't have a lot of bodies available as options.
