Glad the game can go ahead.

But can't help but wonder whether these changes might have been allowed/rules relaxed if it was a team other than Munster isolated somewhere.

Well to be fair, it was Scarlets that kicked up fuss wanting their game to be re-scheduled or for the rules to be laxed in order to add more players due to COVID.

Munster had to be given the same rule change as well as the other 4 team(s).
Just means we can field a team, don't think it gives us any kind of advantage at all, other then the game goes ahead.

Munster up until then were hoping to train the internationals with academy/sub academy players and add a few of the 34 just before game day, which is not ideal with such time off due to potential injury more then anything.
