Covid has finally got me. So if I’m a little quieter than normal, that’s why! Feel like I’ve got the flu with a hangover - plus a 2-year-old to entertain as she had to be removed from childcare. It’ll save me a fortune on Christmas beer though!

Pau v Saracens has just been called off due to a Covid outbreak, so potentially we may hear something soon.

It is rife and spreading so quickly. I don't see how our game can go ahead. More than that, if you're a French or Irish club are you going to want to play English ones at the minute?

I imagine the club are waiting for more results, but unless it's called off today we have to assume it's going ahead. The longer they wait, the worse it looks to call it off.

It just isn't good form to do it late, purely from a comms/reputational perspective. Look at what happened with Spurs and Rennes when Spurs waited until the day of the game to postpone. All manner of negative publicity, even if the justification for doing so was crystal.

Like all these things it's a balance between trying to get the game to go ahead, which I suspect Wasps are contractually bound to make every effort to do & cancelling it in good time for players & fans
