I think the omission of an update on him in the broader one got a few a bit nervy. His trajectory of progress seems slower than the similarly injured Launchbury and Odogwu but I guess that runs the risk of over simplifying complex individual cases. Personally I’d be happy to see him in a couple of squads towards the end of the season - we would be silly to rush and I’m sure we won’t.

Didn't Jack make it clear at the start he didn't want the club or anyone else discussing his recovery as he wanted to control the message himself?

We also lost Tom Rees to retirement following a similar very bad injury. I guess we know about Wasps players but not those from other clubs forced to retire.
