I should think so too.

Malouf's hearing will take place this evening in Coventry at 7.30. The panel will be chaired by John Brennan with Ruth Middleton and one other to be confirmed.

3 week I'd guess, 6 weeks entry, 50% off for clean record and guilty plea.

I'm torn on this.
I still think Gaby's punishment was overly harsh and really don't want that to be the metric by which these incidents are compared.

I'd be happier if someone came out and said that Gaby was treated overly harshly and that future punishment will be toned down for similar incidents.

We'd still have the raw end of the deal, but I think it would be better for the game

Gaby's was harsh, Maloufs was worse.  Malouf gets 3 weeks because he pleaded guilty.

So in future, the advice is, 'fess up or else. In fact why not plead guilty by letter and avoid the expense of the whole process.

Well, not quite.  Hughes pled not guilty and had his overturned (albeit he had to appeal against the decision).

In general though, players are bang to rights, so yes, pleading guilty will generally make sense.
